First Friday Veneration of the True Cross

When: Friday, November 1 & Friday, December 6, 2024

Join us at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption for the Cathedral Parish's Veneration of the True Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Confession is also offered at the same time as the Veneration for any wishing to receive the Sacrament. A blessing of the congregation with the relic of the True Cross concludes the hour along with an opportunity to come forward and individually venerate the relic of the True Cross of Jesus Christ.

Advent Day of Reflection

The Advent Day of Reflection is an annual one-day retreat for members of our Section in preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Our Lord at Christmas. This year, the theme of the retreat is a meditation on the Beautitude: “Blessed are they Who Mourn.” It will be presented in two conferences by Rev. Msgr. Gerald E. Twaddell, KCHS, Section Prior and the Wilbert L. and Helen Hackman Ziegler Endowed Chair of the Department of Philosophy at Thomas More University. The Day includes the conferences, recitation of the Rosary, the opportunity for Confession, and Mass. Anyone interested in deepening their spirituality and growing closer to the Lord is invited.
